About IEEE
IEEE is a professional organization whose members inspire people around the globe to work towards a better future through conferences, technology standards, highly cited publications, and professional and educational activities. IEEE is a reliable source of information for engineering, computing, and technology information around the globe.
SIGNAL PROCESSING SOCIETY
The Signal Processing Society (SPS) is IEEE's first society and is the world’s leading professional society for signal processing scientists and professionals since 1948. Its rich history spans almost 70 years. The SPS has a membership base that spans the globe and includes more than 19,000 motivated and involved signal processing engineers, academicians, industry professionals, and students.
Signal processing is a technology that uses mathematical, statistical, computational, heuristic, and/or linguistic representations, formalisms, modeling techniques, and algorithms to facilitate the generation, transformation, and interpretation of information. It encompasses the theory and algorithms with associated architectures and applications related to processing information contained in signals.
The SPS is an international organization whose purpose is to advance and disseminate the latest scientific information and resources; educate the signal processing community, and provide a venue for people to interact and exchange ideas. The SPS contributes to high-quality publications, conferences, technical and educational activities, and leadership opportunities in the signal processing domain. It strives to keep members informed about the latest information and contribute to the development of society.
